Transvac’s Flare Gas Recovery Solutions Featured in Technology Roadmap Report

16:07 19 February in News
Key emissions reduction technologies identified in latest technology roadmap from NZTC and NSTA

The UK based Net Zero Technology Centre (NZTC), in partnership with the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA), has launched a new resource showcasing deployable and cutting-edge emissions reduction technologies, including low carbon alternative fuels, efficient flare combustion and advanced digital solutions.

Transvac is proud to see their Flare Gas Recovery Ejector solutions feature as proven, market ready technology as part of the report. Currently, 20% of UKCS GHG emissions from oil & gas activities are attributable to flaring and venting, including 71% of total methane emissions in 2022. The North Sea Transition Deal has set a target of zero routine flaring and venting by 2030, along with an overall emissions reduction target of 50% from 2018 levels. Although routine flare and venting operations will cease, emergency and non-routine emissions will still be required. These emissions have the potential to be reduced through deployment of new technologies, such as Transvac’s Ejectors.
